Bespoke Jewellery Pieces
One of a Kind, Made for you.
Foundry Collection pieces begin as reclaimed bronze ‘spill’ fragments formed during industrial casting at Newcastle Foundries (est. 1890). Each fragment is naturally unique, created by chance and refined by hand into wearable sculpture.
A commission is an opportunity to create a piece that is personal, while remaining true to the material’s origin and character. The process is slow, considered, and shaped by what the bronze offers.
What can be commissioned.
Commissions are best suited to pieces that allow the bronze to lead. Options may include:
- Rings (sculptural forms, smooth inner band, refined edges)
- Earrings (paired pieces selected for balance and wear)
- Necklaces / pendants (one-of-a-kind forms, polished/patina finishes)
- Bracelets (organic pieces finished with bronze chain and findings)
Because the starting material is irregular, each commission is guided by availability and what can be achieved while preserving the naturally formed character of the fragment.
The Process.
1) Enquiry
Send us a note with what you’re looking for (ring/earrings/necklace), your preferred finish (polished/patina), and any reference images if you have them.
2) Material selection
Suzanne will review available fragments and suggest options that suit your request. You’ll be guided toward pieces that will wear well and last.
3) Quote + timeframe
Once direction is confirmed, we’ll provide a quote and an estimated timeframe. Commissions are limited to maintain quality and studio capacity.
4) Making + finishing
Your piece is sculpted, refined and finished by hand. Edges are softened for comfort, and the finish is set to evolve beautifully over time.
5) Final approval + delivery
The finished piece is prepared in gift-ready packaging with care guidance included.
What we need from you.
To begin, please include:
- The piece type (ring/earrings/necklace/bracelet)
- Your preferred finish (polished/patina)
- Any sizing details (ring size, preferred drop length, etc.)
- Your timeframe (if it’s a gift or date-specific)
- A short note about the occasion or meaning (optional, but helpful)
