Made from reclaimed sustainable bronze
Foundry Collection pieces begin as reclaimed bronze ‘spill’ formed during industrial casting at Newcastle Foundries. Each fragment is refined by hand, preserving the material’s naturally formed surface while ensuring it’s comfortable and wearable.
Patina and natural change
Patina is not a flaw. It’s part of the material’s life. Bronze patina tends to deepen and evolve over time, adding richness and character with wear. This natural change is a continuation of the piece’s story.
Cleaning
When your piece has patinated more than your desired effect, for most pieces a soft precious metal polishing cloth is enough. For darkened patina pieces a traditional cleaner like Brasso can be used. Avoid jewellery cleaners unless specifically advised for your piece.
Quick care (the basics)
- Avoid contact with perfume, lotions and liquids
- Bronze is ‘waterproof’ but avoid water with chlorine or chemicals.
- Store pieces dry, preferably in a pouch or box
- Clean using a precious metal polishing cloth
- Pieces will naturally darken over time
